ಥಾಣೆಯ ಸರ್ಲಾಂಬೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಬಳಿ ಸೇತುವೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಕ್ರೇನ್ ಕುಸಿದು ಅಪಘಾತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಮೃತರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಲವರು ಅವಶೇಷಗಳಡಿ ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವ ಶಂಕೆ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದು ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಗರ್ಡರ್ ಯಂತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಕ್ರೇನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಲ್ಯಾಬ್ 100 ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದು ಭಾರಿ ಅವಘಡ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಗಾಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಕೊಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

At least 16 people died and a few were left injured after a girder launching machine collapsed near Shahpur in Thane, Maharashtra. According to Shahpur police, the machine was being used in the construction of Phase III of the Samruddhi Express Highway. An official said that the accident took place in the early hours on Tuesday near Sarlambe village in Shahpur tehsil, reported PTI. Those who died are all the workers who were engaged in the construction of the third phase of the Samruddhi Expressway, police said, as per PTI.
