"Celebrating Excellence: 37 Achievers Felicitated at Wisdom Foundation's Guruvandana Event"

Mangaluru, July 15: Wisdom Education Foundation, Mangaluru, organized a special “Guruvandana” ceremony to honor 37 achievers from various sectors, recognizing their significant contributions and dedicated service to society. The event celebrated individuals who have been working silently and selflessly, likened to “the fallen leaves beneath a tree,” serving the community without seeking the spotlight.
The event was conceptualized and organized by Dr. Franciska Tej, Managing Director of Wisdom Education Foundation, along with Dr. Gurutej, Chief Administrative Officer of the foundation. The aim was to pay tribute to educators and exemplary individuals from diverse sectors including education, police, language, literature, and social service.
The event was graced by dignitaries such as Mangaluru CCRB ACP Geetha Kulkarni, Canara Chamber of Commerce COO Maitreya, founder of Disha Rehabilitation Center Dr. Ruksana Hasan, and President of Swastika National Business School Dr. Raghavendra Holla.
Five categories of awards were presented:
Lifetime Achievement Awards:
- Dr. K.S.N. Udupa – Renowned for contributions to Kannada and Hindi literature
- Dr. Alwyn Vincent D’Souza – Registrar, St. Aloysius College
- T.V. Narasimha Murthy – Sanskrit educator for over 8,000 children
- Dr. A.T. Shivaramu – Dean, Adichunchanagiri University
- Dr. B. Raghav – Principal, Field Marshal College
- K.C. Janardhan – Founder of the world’s first handwriting museum
Best Administrator Awards:
- Fr. Praveen Leo Lasrado – Secretary, Catholic Board of Education, Mangaluru; music and moral values trainer
- Fr. Vincent Robert Crasta – Secretary, Catholic Educational Society of Udupi
- Dr. C.T. Jayadev – Principal, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology
- A.B. Surendra Kumar – Founder, Times Gurukula CBSE School, Hassan
- Ashwath S.L. – Math teacher and competitive exam trainer
- Dr. V. Puttaswamy – Principal, BGS Model School
- Dr. Dinesh P.T. – Principal, Kukke Subrahmanya College
