Heart-warming photos of PM Modi with mother Heeraba, who passed away at 100 today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Heeraba, who died on Friday, inspired him through her "simple yet extraordinary" ways.
PM Modi stated that his mother has faced many adversities in her life but has emerged stronger for it.
PM Modi recalled his mother's various sacrifices as he grew up and mentioned her various qualities that shaped his mind, personality, and self-confidence.
PM Modi stated that his mother taught him that it was possible to learn without being formally educated.
Heeraba lived in Raysan village near Gandhinagar city with PM Modi's younger brother Pankaj Modi. The prime minister regularly visited Raysan and spent time with his mother during most of his Gujarat visits.
"In my mother's life story, I see the penance, sacrifice, and contribution to India's matrushakti.
Prime Minister Modi recalled that when he met her on her 100th birthday, she had told him to “work with intelligence and live life with purity”.
